About Gill Upham

Gill Upham

I first became interested in healing and complementary medicine while I was studying for a degree in Biological Sciences in the 1980s. After my eldest child was successfully cured of a long-term health problem by a homeopath, I decided to train, and I graduated from the North West College of Homeopathy in 2000. I also completed a two-year post-graduate course with the Dynamis School of Homeopathy in July 2008. I practised homeopathy in Bolton and then Sheffield from 2000 until 2018.

In 2017 I started to discover that poems could be used as homeopathic medicine, and this led to a change of emphasis in my practice, using poetry with many of my clients alongside homeopathic remedies. I also started to branch out into other forms of healing and spirituality, joining the group that runs “Song and Silence” sessions, and developing the Women’s Sacred Spiral with a colleague.

I also work as Administrator for the Natural Voice Network, a network of people who run community choirs and singing groups, and I well know how singing with others can benefit physical, mental and emotional health.
